is perfringens food poisoning the same thing as food poisoning?

Clostridium perfrignes food poisoning is only ONE KIND of food poisoning. there are other ways to get food poisoning.

Usually, you can test for C. perfringens. Either you take a stool sample from a sick person (they best way to test). Or you test a sample of the food source (not as good, but people keep bugging labs to do this one because they're grossed out by poop).
