19:10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be
so with [his] wife, it is not good to marry.
19:11 But he said unto them, All [men] cannot receive this
saying, save [they] to whom it is given.
19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from
[their] mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive [it], let him receive [it].

Please don't try the ploy about priests vows. This was what makes bulls into steers.

Don't you people realize you are denying the specific words of the Book you constantly vehamently defend. I just found the words in the King James Bible and pasted them in the details.
How, can this be false and everything else true of The words of Jesus?

And the celibacy thing doesn't fly because, Jesus begins by stating that some are born eunuchs. Males are not born Celibate, but some are born without testicles.

In a place, and at a time where strong people routinely castrated men, circumcision must have seemed mild. In today's world, it seems radical. It seems to me that circumcision was a token promise to leave other men's women alone. A social castration, a contract, a covenant. I don't think it was given to this world, to accept castration.

Jesus was not in the habit of letting people nail his words to a plank. Consider the words;. 'let the dead, bury the dead'. Does that mean; 'they're digging their own graves, don't stop them?'.

He must have read Plato's essay on ambiguity....

Jesus was a jew, and at that time Jesus had to live by Jewish laws. Eunuchs were people set aside to serve God without the obstacles of Marriage, Sexuality and Fertility.

Let me get this straight. Jesus couldn't have been talking about abstinance (even though that is how all subsequent Greek-speaking readers interpreted the text), he was telling people to cut off their testicles. Where, exactly, does Jesus say to castrate one's self? Where does he talk about bulls and steers? He used the word "eunouchos," which meant "chamberlain," "watcher," "eunuch" (in the modern sense), or one who does not have sex.

What He said was, whoever is able to receive it, LET HIM receive it. Don't forbid him, let him. All Jesus said was that it was not okay. Do you interpret that as approval? Did he say that man was better off than others?

I think that means they like volunteered to be eunuchs and had someone else do it, not that they did it themselves, as opposed to the section option which i take to mean it was forced on them.

I dunno, that's just how i read it.

Well, if anyone is game for this, please video it so we can watch it! That would beat the hell outta jackass the movie.
But, to make it really really entertaining, instead of simply cutting it off, try slamming it in the car door for good measure beforehand.
