Oh, sure.... love, hate, fear, they all have tangible energy, whatever you send out to people affects them, and how they react to you, there is a big difference on a day when my energy is good, versus one where I am not feeling well or whatever. It affects how I act toward people, and how they react in turn. As buddhamonkeyboy said, also, it can continue on down the line, what you put out gets carried along with the recipient, put someone else in a good mood, they will approach the next person that way, who will in turn make someone else's day, and so it continues on down the line...

Namaste, namaste, namaste!
Take that! Ha!
You know it's all about love, my brother. I think that what you put out does come back at ya, but the point is to not worry about the return, but the gift. In my tradition the definition of love is caring about others more than self. Sooooooooo, you wouldn't want all that love coming back at you, you'd want it amplifying and spreading all over the world.
Which it can do. Yes, indeed.
All you need is love,
love is all you need.
Peace, love, much metta.
and . . . drum roll, please . . . NAMASTE!!!

1Love said it for me, we are that, we are, the 'Great Ohm' of the Omniverse pulsing away, the sound of the 'Cosmic Engine', the sound of the 'Force', the sound of pure, unconditional and infinite 'Love'. The 'E' = energy = matter.
Once we 'real'-ise that everything, including us, is literally made of the stuff, then there is no more need to 'count', there is more than enough to go around.

now, that would be cool. Then, as I reflected all the light back onto the world, imagine how much light would be returned then. You'd need some sunglasses

Does it matter. Love given in trade is poorly named.
Love is easily given. Watch a child.
We carry the world in our hearts. If we love all in the world, are we not thusly rewarded.
Namaste.

I don't know.... I think I get back a lot more than I give, but I think my dear husband is getting short-changed, somehow. (Sigh... I'm not having a happy day.)
Added: :-) My day just got better. (((hugs)))
