Someone already mentioned the Tibetian book of the dead so I'll go with this idea I heard in the 80's
When you die you meet with a more enlightened version of your self (Oversoul?) Who goes over your life with you. Together you discuss what you did right and what you did wrong (in working towards becoming more enlightened ) Together you discuss if you need another life or three and if so how you wish to proceed on your path, who or what you need to be to learn the lessons you still need to learn. Together you pick your next body and where it will come into being. If you choose you can take some R&R first in the higher plains of existence though.

Our physique is an phantasm, it could no longer seem as we predict of it. easily our eyes are adapted to interpret what they see into 3-D stable shapes, even nevertheless they sign in a 2-D image and each little thing is produced from atoms, that are particularly "no longer something" consequently we don't observe a correct representation of the universe. On perfect of that all and sundry our reports, senses and thoughts are mearly electric alerts and chemical reactions occuring interior our suggestions. As such there is not any way of understanding regardless of if something exists interior the universe different than our suggestions.

Our souls were created by God. The gender. When we made the choice to follow Christ and come to this earth many of us did choose our families, our trials. We chose things that would help us grow the most. That down here, we are thinking WHY ME?!?!?

We did have some choice. That is why sometimes you feel you knew someone when you first met them.. or you recognized someone. You probably did know them before this earth life.

No. Why would anyone choose to be a fat, poor, crippled, ugly person? Or a woman in the middle ages, for that matter?

people say they know but really, nobody seems to know for sure..I could be wrong though, I don't know....my best guess is that we don't choose our bodies before we are born

There is a great celestial vending machine into which you put your heavenly coins. Then you shove a lever and "plop" out comes the body you've chosen, nicely wrapped in a clear plastic package.

Many reincarnationists (and you are using their theories here) believe we are living all our lives simultaneously. If we choose our lives, bodies, etc. before coming, what is the point of living the life? It would already be pre-determined results.
