i desperately want to lose weight. i'm afraid to starve myself but i'm afraid that nothing else will work or that it's the only way. i'm only 14 but i hate my body. my legs are too fat. my face is too. even my arms are starting to get so i can pinch a little on them.. i'm 5' 4 and already weigh almost 108 pounds. what can i do to shed the weight? i don't care about what the scale says it's the way i look that i can't deal with. everyone in my life is in control but me it seems, and i need to show them that i'm independant and can do what I want to. tips?

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You don't sound overweight. But if it's how you look that's bothering you, and you don't exercise and eat right. Then I suggest you start exercising and eating right. But if that's not going to work with you. Buy new cloths and make a new look for yourself.

Loving yourself is the hardest thing for most of us. But you have to learn how to, or you'll always find yourself unhappy. But if you really want to lose weight, cut the snacks and soda out of your diet immediately. Stop eating 3 hours before you sleep, eat only the size of your fist, 6 times a day, exercise. Since your a girl, you want to do light weight resistance training to tone your body and not make it buff. You want to do this, because the more muscle mass you have the more fat you'll burn. Cardio is especially good. It's a journey to a better life, there aren't any short cuts without devastating side effects. Take control of your life, but most importantly take control of how you feel. You can be the most beautiful girl in the world, but if you don't feel or see yourself as such, then you'll never be happy. Love yourself first, and find peace. When you do that, everyone else will see your true beauty.

You need to go to the doctor. You are very underweight, and it's not healthy. Just tone up the areas of your body that you don't like. There's no need for you to lose anymore weight. If anything, you need to gain. It is a mental problem that you need to workout. Good luck and God Bless

At 14 yrs old you still may have some baby fat. 5'4 & 108 is actually very good! You may just need to tone up, lift light weights and don't be so hard on yourself.

if you determine to be in control then you have to have strong desire to learn how actually you can lose weight. is not just about buy one product and that is it. you need to learn why you gain weight or you can't lose weight. losing or gaining weight is just about math and science. there is no mystery in it.

when out at a restaurant ask the server to hold the bread snack mix or chips and salsa that might come before the meal if you re hungry youll be tempted

always have vegetables on hand saute a big bag of frozen mixed vegetables in olive oil and garlic add some red pepper or turmeric for additional flavor and separate into portion sized containers for the fridge
