I mean, now that they've horn-swaggled the fundies into buying into zionism, why be so reticent? I think y'all should celebrate your mutual affection, running so strong and deep as it does. How about a Broadway musical? Or a action cartoon series, with "sabra" super-heroes,always with a "Tonto"-like fundie sidekick, goofy but lovable and always in need of rescue?

Jewish ultra-conservatives. Wiki it up. Fundie enthusiasm has drastically intensified over the course of the Bush administration. Gratvol doesn't mean what he's saying. He's just shy about his true feelings. of course he loves fundies and they love him.

Not quite.

Christian neo-cons rather like putting Jews front and center. That's a trick they learned from Russian czars and other benevolent rulers. Put Jews in the firing line and everyone gets anti-semitically bent-out of shape instead of noticing what's really going on, like the czar just spent your taxes on a palace.

And there are way too many Pentacostals etc running around in those circles. You know, people who actively believe in the Rapture. They want Israel's borders restored to a certain historical moment because they think it's a condition for Armageddon, the utter destruction of Israel and their own glorious salvation. The only horn-swaggling they've gotten is in their own churches; their 'love' for Israel is solely for their own gain.

The best observation I've seen on these strange bed-fellows is that both sides are quite certain they're using the other.

American conservatives are vigorously professional-Israel (and Wolfowitz et al are all Zionist to a guy) as a results of fact the start of Israel represents the closest any of them have ever have been given to seeing a biblical prophesy come real. that's nevertheless the fundies' accountability to transform Jews to Jesus however. American neo-con Jews savour the political muscle that having a US president friendly in the direction of Israel supplies them. And boy, do you supply Israel some political muscle! And given the soundness of ability in the middle East, what available marvel could desire to that's that the neo-cons, Christian and Jewish, favour Israeli could over the starting to be impact of Arab and Islamic peoples of their very own lands? they have shared political, financial and non secular hobbies. Why isn't this evident?

um actually this Jewish neo-con dosent care for them.

first Christian Zionism developed long before I was born and personally I want nothing to do with it. Most of these people are nuts and if given the opportunity would try to convert me or sacrifice me for their Apocalypse.

I would much prefer if a person wants to be a supporter of Israel that they should do it for political or economic reasons, (their are plenty of those) rather than religious ones.

So, sorry if I burst your bubble.

You can call me a liar, but its the truth. I dont like Evangelical Christians or more to say I dont trust them.

again I would prefer a person who supports Israel because they realize that they are an economic and political allies with the United States rather than believing that by supporting Israel they are gaining points with God and bringing about the end of days. Those people simply scare me.

I don't love fundamentalists or their support for Israel, in fact I'm quite nervous about it, as I would be nervous about any plan that deals with using Israel as a pawn to accomplish some religious goal listed in Revelations that will be followed by utter chaos when it doesn't come true. I would much rather people support Israel (as gratvol said) through political or economic reasons, not through religious ones...

And it wasn't us that caused this from them, it was their book of Revelations that details that if all the Jews return to Israel, their god will come back...and WE certainly didn't write that crap.

As was just said, although I appreciate what support Israel does get, I am not comfortable with it being for fundamentalist Xtian beliefs.

Because how many people can really admit they love us Christians, without being politically incorrect? We're not the chosen ones in society right now, are we?
