Arius taught that God the Father and the Son did not exist together eternally. Further, Arius taught that the pre-incarnate Jesus was a divine being created by (and possibly inferior to) the Father at some point, before which the Son did not exist. In English-language works, it is sometimes said that Arians believe that Jesus is or was a "creature"; in this context, the word is being used in its original sense of "created being".

Yes. In short, Arians did not believe that Jesus was co-existent and co-equal with the father. This is contrary to the "orthodox" position that the son has always been co-existent with God and of the "same substance."

Arianism was denounced at the council of Nicea, which was called by the Emperor Constantine. I mention this because, ironically, the emperor was baptized on his death bed by Eusebius of Nicomedia who was an Arian!

Arianism is “the doctrine that Christ the Son is subordinate to God the Father, and of different substance, because Christ was created by God and so came into being after God.”

Arianism denies that Christ is divine. He is Divine, but that doesn't make Him the same person as God.
