English, Welsh, Russian, German, Esperanto, French, Spanish, Slovene (the last two are comparatively rusty), and a working knowledge of Latin, Old English and Middle High German. I can also understand a fair bit of written Italian, and I'm taking Arabic classes at the moment.

I'm Welsh.

I´m from Finland, my native language is Swedish (there are about 5 per cent of us here,it´s not quite the same Swedish they speak in Sweden). It would be interesting to know which languages you speak and where you are from. I am American, I speak English and Spanish, the basics in Italian, French and German (although I can usually read those languages, and understand them, even if I can't have a conversation). I'm studying Hindi, Gaelic and Arabic, but don't know more than a couple words in each right now. My linguist cousin has taught me to say "I am a cabbage" in Swahili and Czech, and I know how to say "Hello, you old boot" in Swedish (and I must say, those are fabulously worthless phrases) :)

I am Italian, but lived abroad half my life.
I speak fluently English, French, Spanish and Italian, and I am rapidly getting there with German, as I now live in Austria.
I have also learned some Thai, Swahili and Comorian, because I happened to live in those countries during my youth.
