I am pretty active as i play rugby, field hockey and swim when each is in season, and i often get compliments on my healthy eating choices. i've always been a tad heavy, but weight is not something i consider an issue because i am also muscular. BMI indicators do not really tell me anything, because since I weigh about 127 lbs and stand at 5'3", i am "normal". Regardless, I loathe my chubby gut.
What can I do to try and get rid of excess fat?

Short of lipo there is probably not a lot. We all distribute fat differently than others.

It probably looks chubby only to you. However you might ask one of your coaches to give you an exercise routine to help with the abdominal area.
