I don't know why they drive like that, other than the fact that they can't figure time very well so they think they need to be in a hurry all the time, in which if they would have left a half hour earlier they wouldn't have that problem.

That's partly the reason I drive a full size truck with a push bumper, people seem to get the hint to quit cutting me off when they look in their rearview mirror and all they see is my front differential in their mirror. Plus that push bumper works very well for those people that try to push their way in or think they don't need to stop at stop lights or stop signs.

Given the traffic in the LA basin, you don't get a lot of opportunity to exceed the speed limit, let alone hit 90.

Try driving in Paris or Rome. Or if you REALLY want to see crazy, head for Shanghai! I'm in China right now and the drivers here are INSANE.

People in LA would NEVER think that they are in NASCAR. That's more of a South East thing... specifically Florida. F-1 Maybe... no Nascar though :-P Hope you appreciate the humor in this and don't let 'em get to you.

I live in Florida and am a Commercial Driver by trade. Just thought I'd pre-empt anyone who thought I was ridiculing the South.

Maybe the same reason why people in Dallas do, although I don't know the reason. I just know they do, so much so that a highway patrolman in Kansas or somesuch who stopped me for not giving a turn signal before I changed lanes at a slightly excessive speed dropped his ticket book when I told him I was raised in Dallas and learned how to drive there, wherein he and I began comparing notes on the very high speed and very impolite driving done there. I don't know why we do it, except for fun, but, I will tell you, if you ever go to Dallas, and you want to change lanes, do NOT use your turn signals. That's a pure and simple invitation to other drivers to make sure you DON'T or CAN'T make the lane change you want. It's just competition I guess, with total disregard for the consequences. God Bless you.

Actually it's not as bad in LA as some people think. MOST drivers are OK. Have you driven in Paris or Rome? I have. Comparing to those places, LA has the best drivers.

evidently their view of reality is skewed and they think that wherever they have to be is the most important place in the world...no regard for other people, selfishness...no offense, but its LA...look around at the people and its pretty evident what their priorities are...THEMSELVES
