Do the most you can handle without causing major discomfort, unbearable soreness or fatigue is what I say. The human body is made to work, the more you do it, the more you can handle. Keep this routine up and you WILL lose weight.

You only need about 30 minutes a day of walking or some other kind of cardio. So if you're on the treadmill for 30 minutes while doing other activities that day, you're doing well. If you've never tried a tread climber machine you should! 30 minutes on that burns off far more calories than a tread mill.
Also, 10-15 minutes of jump roping is GREAT!
Good luck!!

The incline is a great way to target your legs and backside.
I would say that 30-60 minutes is good, but try a little bit of interval training too---for example: 2 minutes at 2.0-2.5 speed at the high incline, 2 minutes at 3.5-4.0 speed at no incline, 2 minutes at 3.0-3.5 speed at low incline, 2 minutes at 2.5-3.0 at mid incline and then repeat.
It's a good way to make the time go by faster and it will get your heart rate up---you want to keep your heart rate high throughout the majority of your workout--excluding your warm up and cool down----in order to see weight loss results.
Good Luck! :)

Yes, the longer the better. But ease into it. You are doing great!
You might want to set the incline at 2% and up the speed a bit. A 2% incline is enough to compensate for the wind resistence that you would have encountered walking outdoors.

If you cannot excercise at a high enough intensity level for an hour than 30 minutes would be better for losing weight.

Actually its not the length of time, its the intensity that counts. You can jog nice and easy for 1 hr and do not burn as much as do intense cardio or 20 minutes.

30 minutes is the least amount of time you should spend. anything more will help that much more. you can also break it up into 15-20 minutes intervals.
