I am trying to finance a car, but the dealership is saying I need a cosigner. I am 20 years old, a first time buyer, 717 credit and good income. I can't seem to find a someone to help me out, what are my other options?

Try financing thru someone other than the dealership. Try going to a few banks and applying for an auto loan. If your credit is decent, you should be able to find a bank willing to give you a nice loan and then you do not have to deal with the dealership and some of their shady practices.

If you have a good credit score and verifiable income, then you don't need a cosigner. If the dealership requires you to get a cosigner, then you have a few options.
1. Tell the dealership that you will not be getting a cosigner and if they want your business they will change their requirement.
2. Buy a car from a different dealer who doesn't have that same requirement.
3. Go to your own financing source (bank, credit union, financing company) and secure a loan on your own.

I agree with the posters before me. Try getting a loan from some other source. The dealerships will toy with you and tell you that if they do change it so that you don't need a cosigner, you will have to pay more. Just keep at it if you choose this route and don't back down.

Pay cash. Buy a used car. Check with your bank or a Credit Union to see if they will do the financing.
