The pig is condemned as an unclean animal in the Bible book of Leviticus (11:7-8; also Deuteronomy 14:8) and forbidden as food. Most modern Christian groups believe that this law is no longer binding, or is not for people in our modern age. The pig is a carrier of Trichinosis, a type of parasitical worm that is very hard to kill by cooking. In fact, you would have to destroy the meat, burn it to a crisp, to kill these critters. You may have a point about chickens too. Both animals are quite delicious. But then there are some people who actually play Russian Roulette. Makes you wonder about human sanity.

Actually, the pig is considered a filthy animal by all 3 major religions, Islam, Christianity and Judaism. All 3 are taught not to eat pig, contrary to popular belief as most think this is just an Islamic thing.
What they mean by the word "filthy" in this case, is not that they are just dirty animals, but the pig is the only animal which lets its mate run around and mate with other pigs, and they also carry diesease.
And, these religions are not cults. If you are christian, try reading your Bible, Leviticus 11:7.

When Moses wrote the Torah/Old Testament there were no Chickens in tiny cages laying on top of each other but Pigs have always layed in mud.
Also abusied animals are nonkosher so, if they eat their own SHlT and drink their own PlSS, they aint eating it!
I buy Organic, Vegatarian, Cage Freenon antibiotic eggs so I am good to go.
Also, Judaism is not a cult. It is a religion, no it is "THE" religion because it was one of the first religions ever made.

Here's a thought: After his escape (or exile depending on the source) from Egypt, Moses became a Shepard. The law of Moses was laid down by God after the Exodus or, at the least, was divinely inspired. Now, being a Shepard, would it make sense to call about anything besides sheep 'unclean'? Perhaps Moses had a vested interest in the mutton trade. Even if God did not present it as such, perhaps he though that he could use it in the future and simply allowed Moses to pursue that avenue. Granted, 40 years of wandering and Manna put that whole enterprise on hold, but Moses knew the promised land was an inevitable reality. Maybe God kept it in the back of his mind when he did not allow him to enter it.

Lol, well I applaud your attempts, however as one who would rather know why things are prohibited than to follow them blindly, I have to say you haven't done your research.
Pigs are considered "unclean" for consumption based not on what they roll around in, but on what they eat. In Judaism and Islam things are classified as halal/kosher or haram/(nonkosher?) by many reasons, one of which is what the animal eats in its natural habitat and how it is digested. Something you may notice if you compare the foods permitted and forbidden is that none of the permitted animals are carnivorous. Chickens may eat insects, but that's as far as they go regarding other animals. A pig will eat anything from plants, other animals, the feces of other animals or itself, and dead carcasses of other animals as well as other pigs. There's also the fact that pigs carry trichinosis, a parasitic worm that burrows into the muscle tissue and thrives off its host.
Now to the second issue... those mass production farms you mention have the most disgusting hygene and it isn't the fault of the animals, it is the fault of those whose duty it is to ensure the health and wellbeing of us, which they so often neglect. Five chickens crammed into a cage is sure to lead to pecking and fighting, which is why farmers elect to sear off the beaks of chicks to prevent it. The worst part is when a chicken dies in a cage and is also neglected, forcing the remaining chickens to sleep, eat and poop on a rotting carcass. This type of farming is also what lead to mad cow disease; feeding ground beef to an animal *far* from having natural cannibalistic behaviors.
Personally, if I can't find free range (even if it's Halal/Kosher), I do veg.

That's gross, but they are getting fried anyway, so just cook the well so the meat is good enough to eat. Pigs and cows are they same way if you look at them, they are in a barn, cooped up in the same space, tied up and they lay in their feces and stuff. Farmer don't give them baths, they don't clean themselves either.
Chickens are healthier, they are better to eat rather than red meat like cows or pigs. These animals are very fating especailly pigs, and gives you higher cholesterol rather than a chicken, that can be bad for your really bad for your heart (heart disease, clogged arteries and cancer). They're also good for protein, they taste good, you can cook them easier and faster, and are cheater to buy.
When I was thinking of you saying cults do you mean that some people think pigs are dirty and people call each other pigs or policemen pigs. Some cults think cows a sacried and worship them. So not all cults believe in the same things. Some people have pet pigs and they admired them for the intelligents (heard their smarter then dogs) and pet owner think they are cleaner too. Samething with chicken, people have pet chickens. Pigs are nasty though, they look weird, they slober everywhere, their fat and big (they keep getting fatter), they lay around, and make alot of noise. Compared to dogs their pets.... they eat their sh**, roll a around in dirt too, but at least they protect, their look cute, they respond when you call them, you can train them and they are used for work and can play with them.

Remember when those dietary laws where written?
Back in the day pork was a really unsafe food choice. Then along comes Upton Sinclair and his little book "The Jungle".
His expose of the meat packing industry created an inspection system so pork is now one of the safer meats.
This might have worked for the government but not for thousands of years of religious dogma.

I think it's becuase they eat anything & everything & in their natural state which God created (forget the times we live in, this is f**** up) they roll in mud & things i donot care to write here as was pointed out (no, they will not go to the gym & shower becos they they don't want to due to the same reason that u will not go & roll in dirt etc) & so they are considered dirty.
Chickens, in their natural God given state, are not like that, they like to stroll around in farms, meadows & although i don't know what these people who call themselves human do to the poor defenceless creatures, but that's just humans destroying nature....

Primitive cultures often had good reason to be careful of the pig, particularly of eating it when raw. Modern times do not necessarily mean modern cultures, particularly for religious groups, where the prohibition against thinking limits their ability to evolve into modern times. Therefore, this is a relic of more primitive times, which, come to think of it, pretty much sums up religion.

Most of the dietary restrictions in certain religions had a good reason in the past. People observed that eating certain foods was linked to certain diseases. They didn't know about microbes and the right cooking temperatures needed to process the meats, so it was just easiest to make it a "religious rule" not to eat certain things. It protected the people. It was the only certain method way back when, but isn't really necessary or useful in modern times.
