Im a white muslim and i was scared of discrimination and i was wondering if would be aloud to pray in this mosque they say 1 prayer in there is equal to 5000 in youre own home. I heard the goverment wont let muslims pray there.

people were always insulting me for it. there is no mosque for miles and it just intersts me

You will be allowed to pray. The last time I went there was a large crowd and a line. I asked a soldier if there would be a better time to come back. He told me to leave and come back at the next prayer time and come to the front of the line and see him. I did and he let me in right away. It all depends on what the security measures are at the time of your visit. Have a nice time.

Do you mind if I ask what made you convert? I have heard so many bad things about Muslims (news) but I had a professor in college that was a Muslim and he explained it to us pretty well, and I have even been to a service at a mosque and it was interesting.....I am a Christian and will stay that way, but I was just curious as to what made you decide to convert?

On occasion when riots and demonstrations break out (like they did this past winter) in the old city the municipality of Jerusalem restricts young men usually those under 40 from going near the area of Al-aqsa mosque.
though this only happens on rare occasions. Other times you should be free to go up their.

Most of the time there is no problem to pray in Al-aqsa, except demonstrations. I just want to warn you that the security check is very unpleasant so please dont feel humiliated and try to understand the fragile situation.

the israli govt. usually doesn;t interfiere with muslem religion except in some rare occasions
