recently a faithful Catholic family moved onto my block; they seem like nice people, but I'm worried about my children (I have 2 sons, aged 7 and 9). Should I be worried about them molesting my children?

templeton has a point, but remember, its usually the catholic priests you have to watch out for; the church has been talking about "cleaning up" its act for a while, but it is a statistical fact that catholic priests and yes, even youth ministers in the church, are by far the most sexually promiscuous predators on young people. Make sure you don't ever let your child go to confessions (where he'll be out of view), or in the back of the church, called the rectory, with the priest. Better to be safe than sorry.

generally its the catholic priests who are most implicated in the molestation of children; yet inquire as to whether the family are catholic youth ministers, boy scout leaders or something along those lines. If they are, watch out.

What an awful thing to say - you just said they seem like nice people. Leave it at that - drop the bigoted attitude or your sons will pick up on it and act like that too, and the world doesn't need any more bigots.

I wouldn't worry so much about it, anyone in any religion could molest children!Teach your children about those people who try to touch their "privates" and teach them to let you know when someone tries to !!!
