WTF!

First: This is called Religion & SPIRITUALITY (note the spirituality part)

Second: Why is it that you believe that because someone who doesn't believe in the same god as you shouldn't try to understand those beliefs?

Third: I have a lot of opinions about religion.

Fourth: Why do you ask? Is my being here in some way threatening to you?
-----------------------------

Edit:

Also, people go to all parts of the world to study native religions that they themselves don't believe in.

How many times am I going to see that question?
As I said before atheists are people too and they have the same freedom that everyone else has. So why beat them down if they are interested in anything religious?
Come on where is the grace.

I don't believe in Garou, a type of werewolf from a role playing game I play -- My final composition for College English Composition II was a critical analysis of the creation myths told by the various tribes.

I don't believe in Mordor or Sauron, but I've done a critical literary analysis of the actions of Sauron in relationship to other mythologies mankind has held through the ages.

So ... explain to me what belief or disbelief have to do with having an interest in a topic?

Have you not noticed the hundreds of time this question is asked?

Some atheists find religion and spirituality an interesting topic for debate, so we come into the appropriate section.

Atheists can't be interested in religion?

Okay, um, but why do some Christians ask questions here when they clearly know it all ALREADY. (or at least think so.)

A person can be interested in religion without being religious. A person can be religious and not be a theist.

Really, it's so common-sense and obvious I can't believe this gets asked as often as it does.

the section is called religion and spirituality... it is an error on yahoo's part to think they are the same.. and it's an error on the religious's part to think because we are athiest we have no spirit... we are born spiritual emotional mental and physical... we are responsible for keeping the balance of ourselves selling out our spirituality don't quite cut if for some.

TC, you are one hurting person. Not only is this an extremely stupid question, but it has been asked and answered a dozen times. Therefore, not only are your questions stupid and shallow, but you seem unable to read.

They could be searching or they could be so deep in hatred toward christians that they delight in being controlled by satan and spewing venom. I hope they find Jesus. And even if they don't, their words only hurt themselves because we are soldiers of the cross who have the victory.

You don't have to be insane to study Abnormal Psychology, sick to become a nurse, EMT or doctor, an animal to want to care for them...
