People come in all shapes and sizes. In the Body Mass Index (BMI) you multiply your weight in pounds x 705. Divide this number by ur height in inches, & divide it again by ur height in inches.
-----Ex. If ur 5 feet 7 inches (67 inches) & weigh 150 pounds.
Multiply 150 x 705
=105,750/67
=1578.36/67=23.5...
BMI=23.5.
If your BMi is between 18.5 & 25 you are probably at a healthy weight. If it's more than 25 u may be overweight, if it's less than 18.5 your likely underweight.
---BMI isn't perfect. Many athletes have BMIs more than 25.
Your BMI is 21.4 which means your at a healthy weight. =]

To know whether or not you are overweight, you need to calculate your BMI (body mass index). There is a BMI calculator that you can use on the Slim-Fast website, the link is below.

I put in your height of 4' 11" and your weight of 106 and it told me that your BMI is 21, which is approprite, so you are not overweight, your weight is appropriate for your height. Check out that calculator for yourself, it will show you the different weight ranges for someone of your height.
I know how you feel though, I am only a little over 5 foot tall. When you are short, you can't afford even the tiniest weight gain or you will look heavy. I have gained a lot of extra weight from having my 3 children and I am struggling to lose it. With your weight being in the appropriate range, I don't think you really need to lose weight, just maintain the healthy weight that you already are. Just eat healthy (lean meats, veggies, fruits, whole grains) and exercise and stay active to maintain your weight or for weight loss. As far as "fast" weight loss, usually anything that makes you lose weight fast, is not healthy for you and you will almost always gain it back! Been there, done that!! Good luck!!

You are 14? you really shouldn't worry about it. Your bmi is 21.4, which is normal, and at your age you still have baby fat, heck at my age of 20, i still have it. Your probably going to grow in height, and you will thin out. if you want to still lose weight, don't try to do it fast, do it healthy. Eat right, exercise.

Honey - you haven't even finished growing yet!
Okay, here's what you need to know - there's no quick fix, and if you adopt healthy habits now, that will help you in the long run.
Summer's coming, so focus more on being active, and staying busy. Don't overdo it with the junk; up your fruits/veggies as well as your water.

YOU ARE NOT FAT! im 13, 5'0" and weigh 105lbs. i weigh about the same as you! (though i am taller) but i am thin. if you were overweight, your doctor would tell you that. when i was 11, i went to the doctor and they TOLD me i was overweight, but only by 3lbs, because the average for an 11 yr old is about 95lbs (depending on height) and i was 98lbs. but i was told it was muscle, not fat. they would tell you if you were overweight. plus, it could just be muscle for you too, because
MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT!
but if you are truley concerened, the next time you see your doctor, you can ask them.

At fourteen, you still have considerable physical growth to come, so don't worry so much about your weight, and worry more about eating a balanced diet to keep you healthy.
