I know this is such a weird question, but I have really been wondering. What's in tooth paste that makes you not be able to swallow it.

You can get fluoride poisoning, a chemical used to prevent tooth decay.

I believe it's the flouride they put into the toothpaste that's bad for you.

fluoride is toxic when ingested in the quantities you would find in toothpaste.
