I have just recently lost a lot of weight. I have lost my baby fat, and I am, well growing up. Well, almost everyone I know thinks that I am anorexic. I know that they care about me and everything, but I don't know how I can get them to believe me when I say that I'm not anorexic. Whenever I'm not hungry for a meal, and don't eat very much, they'll get all concerned. But most of the time, I'll eat normally. C'mon, I'm a normal kid when it comes to food. Also, if I go to the bathroom, they always think that I have just made myself throw up. I swear, I have never never never done that in my life. It's been said that if you do that, your eyes will water, or you will have a runny nose. Ever since the time when I was crying in the bathroom (which just happened to be after a meal), (also, this was just because I was sad with some things in my life - but that's besides the point)Ever since then, they've been thinking that I make myself throw up. Note: this happend about 2-3 times.whatcanido?

Bottom line if your not, then your not, and they are just showing concern for you, hopefully they are not doing it in a malice attempt to make fun of you for the way you look.

Also you could just make sure you are eating in front of other people.

Being dangerously underweight doesn't mean you're anorexic. The obsessive exercising doesn't bode well. For your activity level, you need to be taking in a lot more calories. A few questions: Do you think you are fat, or that you should lose weight? Are you afraid of gaining weight? Have you missed periods even though you're not pregnant? Do you avoid eating in public or in front of others? Do you spend a significant amount of time counting calories? How is your hair? Skin? Lips? Nails? Have any of them been dry or brittle? Are you more sensitive to cold? All of these are symptoms of anorexia. Please go to a doctor to get screened. If it's not anorexia, then you might have a thyroid problem. Either way, your weight is unhealthy to the point of being a health threat.

This is what I did when I was in high school and I knew that I wasn't eating a thing. Sometimes you have to be really honest with yourself and maybe what you think isn't just might be. You can write down what you eat during the day for a week and see if you're eating enough or if you need to eat some more food. It would help you to really realize what you're eating and help watch yourself because it sounds like there may be a possibility of you leaning towards that way.

Eat normally. Ask to see a doctor so he can say you are okay. See if your weight is within the recommended weight of someone your height. don't go to the bathroom during or right after you eat.

If all of the people around you are that worried about you, perhaps you are a little too much on the thin side. If you really want them to stop worrying, have your parents take you to a doctor to be evaluated.

Please dont let anone put you down or stress you out. As long as you know deep inside that you are not what other people think then your ok, just hold your head up high in confidence. I would suggest you seriously sit down with them and let them know in the mosat innocent way that you are not annorexic.

Listen hun, and hear me clearly,

get to your family doctor and he/she will get you back on track. the fact that you are worried about the topic is an indication that you are worried about your eating habits.
