If you want an accurate RSVP, then yes. Some people won't send them back anyway, but the number will increase greatly if they have to put their own postage on as well...

I think its proper etiquitte but I can't believe the number of people that did not properly RSVP to my wedding!! I provided postage on all of the cards and it really did cost a lot of money!!! I was very upset by this. At the same time, if you don't provide postage, people will call you cheap and you dont want that either. I say do it although it might be a waste.

Some people have opted to set up a website for people to RSVP to. Maybe you can do that and of some of the older guests who may not use the internet that often, provide postage for them.

Yes! Always put postage on the RSVP envelopes so that people have the inconvenience of sending the RSVP back. Otherwise you most likely will not get any RSVPs back.

Quite honestly it's considered extremely rude to expect your guests to pay for postage.

It's up to you, but you generally get a better response if you include the postage. If you're in a time crunch to get them back on time so that you can get a final guest count to caterers or for the cake size, then this may be worth paying the extra postage to put them on the RSVPs.

Yes, it's proper to put returned postage on your rsvp's. You really don't want to make your guests have to find a stamp to send their reply back. Plus this will help you as far as your guest numbers. The easier for them to reply the better off you are with your final count.

Yes, it is the polite thing to do and you will probably get more of them back then if you made them pay for postage. If you are wanting to save money then set up a website, like on theknot.com, where guests can RSVP.

Commonly, with rsvps by mail you would enclose envelopes already return addressed, with the postage included. It's a pain and unfair, but us brides get stuck with all of the work ..lol

I would recommend it! We did personalized stamps for all the national invites. I sent out 13 overseas and tracked down, on-line, a company that could supply me with international postage from each of those countries. Not easy... but worth it!
Congrats to you both!
Best wishes on your planning!

Yes, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope along with an RSVP card. Congratulations!

Yes. The response card's return envelope should be self-addressed (the address you want the replies to come to) with postage on it
