I think this contest was rigged. There were better drivers to vote for. Kenny hasn't done anything this year and other drivers have done a lot more and they weren't voted in.

heck i voted for him i thought edwards was going to race his way in...and KW got the word out,,i hoped he did better but at least he didnt cause a wreck

I don't think the contest was rigged, but I was shocked when they announced Kenny Wallace was the driver voted in. I think there were several other driver's that deserved the honor more. I think Kenny's votes mostly came from people that enjoy his sense of humor and actions on Speed.
Just for the record I voted for Elliott Sadler.

If you ever watch the Pre-race show on Speed there was a sign asking people to vote for Kenny for the All-Star Race. He campaigned hard for it; or at least his one Fan did.
The vote is a popularity contest. Kenny is popular with Fans who watch his show.
Last year was the best campaign to vote a Driver in. Coke offered a millions dollars to the Victory Junction Camp if Kyle Petty was voted into the All-Star Challenge. I would love to see other Sponsors step forward and contribute to charity in this manner for their Drivers. It would make the vote something of substance.

Its hard to cause a wreck when you are half a lap behind..but anyways, it is a joke. Like I was said before the race when people were rallying to get guys like Waltrip and Wallace in the race, its a nice gesture and all but why put someone in who we know is not going to compete. Look at guys like Edwards who had a strong car and is in the top 12 in points now, or Bowyer who is running strong this year. These guys actually could have been competitive but didnt have the chance. I like the idea of having the top 2 drivers make the all star race and i DO like the opportunity for the fans to vote someone in too. But be smart about your vote and try to make the race more exciting for everyone by voting in a contending driver.

I think voting a driver in is just dumb anyway they should just take the top three drivers or better yet go back to just taking the winner of the open I don't agree when people say kenny can't Drive thats not true he has made it to the top level there are just a lot better drivers in the nextel series

I enjoy watching Kenny do the nascar shows but as a driver no way. To the lady who answered that if kenny would switch to ford instead of that #@$% chevy, when did a ford last win a race.

I thought after the open that Carl would be voted in. He had a good run. Kenny, he a good comedian but thats about all.

Has anyone checked to see if he has his own web site backing him like Sonjaya from american idol? I guess it was intresting but kind seems like a joke of really bad proportions when you say all star and kenny wallace together. I would also check Howard Stern show and website as well.

I for one was very happy for Kenny, he's so funny and so what if he hasn't won a race in a long time, neither has my driver but I still love him!! And were the other drivers that could have been voted in really that much better?

Kenny is a very popular driver well most of his popularity is from all of the shows he's on and not his driving abilities !

Kenny has alot of fans. He's not the one I would call my favorite but I would love to see him in victory circle. That would be a show all by itself.
