No, I don't think you're wrong to have told him how you felt.
Maybe he got upset because he was overtired, as you thought he might be.
That's no excuse, however, for him to stand you up on yet another phone call.

It's OK to tell him how you felt but it depends on how you tell him. It would be good if you can rephrase your words into a positive remark rather than "you've changed". Also, your voice tone really tells a lot too.

Maybe you can say, "I understand that you're busy lately but you really made me worry about you. All these while, I've been expecting your calls because I'm concerned about you."

It's a good thing to put yourself in the listener's shoes whenever you try to communicate with them. Think of the things which they would like to hear from you. Words which show that you care about them rather than yourself.

-No, you need to communicate more, you shouldn't hold anything back from eachother. Actually, I don't know what to tell you on this matter because sometimes I have the same problem with my bf. I tell him exactly how I feel and I see he makes an effort. Always let eachother know how things make you feel, in that way he knows how to make you happy and you know how to make him happy unless you are mind readers. -
