This seems to be confusing some people, yes I am involuntarily being seperated, yes I am getting a "Honorable Discharge". If you read the REG you will see that Yes I am entitled to this. Yes this does apply to not only civilians but military to. I did give almost 11 years, and because of my family situation right now I am not able to deploy.

Because the only people who get Full Severance pay,

are those who are involuntarily separated, and fully qualified for retention and the service must be characterized as "Honorable." Examples would be separation due to reduction in force, or separation due to exceeding the high year of tenure.

Basically, those involuntarily separated through no fault of their own.

All other receive Half severance pay.

Including those voluntarily or involuntarily separated due to AR 600-20 , Chapter 5.

Usually financial and family obligations only receive half. I guess the Army figures that you should have resolved the issue and stayed in.

Full severance is usually limited to medical chapters. The Army views drug and alcohol abuse as a job-related injury, for example. So, if you self-refer to ADAPC (Army Drug and Alcohol Prevention Center), then you will be released under a medical chapter.

I am not understanding the word "severance" pay. In the civilian world its when you are let go and they pay you a few extra weeks or months of salary. Would that be the same? My husband did 20 years Navy, retired and his pension is half pay. never heard of anyone at 10 years getting anything. and family Care Plans are supposed to be done upon entering the military or upon birth of child when u r in military.

Family care plan severence pay??!! You are lucky to get any pay at all. But to answer your question, full pay goes to people that are being discharged due to injuries incurred in the line of duty or doing their job that can no longer serve. Your children or your family have nothing to do with any of that. You are very lucky to get this pay.

while you're purely paying a set volume, yet you're splitting it your self, no. (ex: mtg pymt is one thousand, yet you purely flow to the financial corporation and make a partial cost of 500) yet once you have the financial corporation set it up on a bi-month-to-month amortization schedule, definite you will pay off quicker, plus in the long-term, you pays an excellent purchase much less interest. I advise i'm speaking like a $50,000 distinction right here. in the case which you have them set it up as a bi-month-to-month loan schedule your cost could be some money extra, like somewhat of purely splitting the cost in 0.5, it could upload approximately 20-30 money to it. yet once you may stay with that distinction i could choose for it. i gets a commission the different week, have my loan money set up on that schedule, so i myself make 26 money a 300 and sixty 5 days, and in one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days on my own I knocked approximately 15,000 off of concept (i've got in uncomplicated terms had the living house 2 years, so as that's a extensive volume to come returned off of concept)

well, you failed to provide a Family Care Plan. since this was your fault( or they willlook at it that way) I guess they can decide to only give you half.
