I have a Micro Brewery that is cleaning it's vats and discharging it into our sewer system and sitting in our lift station. It is creating a big problem with the yeast from the cleaning process growing and causing our floats to fail. The waste that we are getting is what is left in the bottom of the vats when they are flushed and cleaned. Does anyone have any idea on how to pretreat the waste before being discharged into the sewer system?

Find a pig farmer and sell it to him for slop. Pigs love it.
Most whiskey makers, including Jack Daniels and George Dickel, do this with the mash left from the distillation, which is a similar waste product.

My fashionable DFH is the international extensive Stout, or the Olde college Barley Wine. For Bell's I enjoyed Batch 8000, yet I probable will never see that one returned... I additionally love Wheat Love Ale... That replaced right into a 2005 brew and that i had my final 2 in like October or November. i myself can no longer say which Bell's i like extra they're all so great. Darn you restrictive Illinois liquor rules! Now I could desire to commute to Michigan or Indiana or Wisconsin or Ohio to get it. Oh properly, 2 of them are in uncomplicated terms 30 minutes or so from Chicago.

Kill the yeast before discharging it. Can't it go down a plumbing drain, rather than be held in some tank?

Also: The solution to pollution is dilution. You didn't hear that from me.
