Nope, I do my best writing and thinking when I'm not distracted. But I'm more imaginative when I have music. I like both.

Not at all. There is a time and a place for everything.
Sometimes noise can be soothing and other times quietness is it depends.

Scientifically silence does not exist.

I've never experienced absolute silence, since there's always SOME kind of background "noise" like birds, planes, cars, etc., but generally I like trying to quiet my mind.

no, i love silence. But most cannot stand it. I think it takes practice to be able to be silent. When I first started being silent, I thought I was going to go insane, because I was a natural born loud mouth, but now I dont like talking. I love silence more than words. It is funny to me that it makes people uncomfortable.

I always have a fan on high, though my dogs give enough background noise for a zoo.
I fail to see, however what this has to do with R&S?

No, and it sucks because, unless I get to go out into nature, there's always multiple noises in the background.

I'm at ease and my happiest when there is music playing. It has more to do with my love of music than any fear of silence, though.
