Do you know like around about area that he would be in? I did this same thing right before my high school graduation, my mom still knew some of his relatives and I started with them since he was in hiding (child support). So after talking to one person it kinda of just grew, like oh talk to so and so and eventually, I found him sitting in a bar.

Any decent private investigator in American can run a skip trace on him. you can probably use any one of a hundred websites and pay a couple of bucks for a basic search.
Locate him and try to establish contact. It's up to him to make the copnnection from his end if he chooses.
