Got a 99 Grand Cherokee, Electric fan stopped working, So before I go out and replace the fan and I thought possibly there may be a fuse that blew? I found the fuse box but can't find a diagram for it anywhere on the net.

Thanks

RickB -

You can hear something like a relay kicking on and off like its trying to turn the fan on, but it just sits there - If you get a chance to read this, this might help.

Our 99 GC has been in the shop three times for this problem, and yes, it is undoubtably the relay. The fan was also replaced once for having and excessive current load. Last time the relay went in less than 1 year, so it was replaced free. There is no recal as far as I know, would have heard about it. The labor to replace the relay is BS because of where it is.

likely not a fuse, or a fan motor. it likely the fan's relay. the relay is located under the front bumper cover and can only be tested at the dealer, but unless you are seeing a wobbling blade, it is likely that relay. Also, call the dealer and see if your fan is under recall, may not have anything to do with it not working, but if it is under recall it will fail.
