i think you are talking about gitting hired as a deputy. what they mean is, you are in line to be hired when they have another opening or the funding for the position. it don't happen in one day,so play it cool. if you don't hear anything in 2 or 3 weeks, call and see whats going on. depending on the department, there could 4 people on the list, or there could be 20. good luck.

Get your self a criminal professional not because of the fact your son has finished something incorrect, yet because of the fact the college has already made some errors, lied to you, and this all is going in his everlasting record. If I have been you, i could even flow for the time of city if I had to to get this sturdy boy of yours faraway from this little freak of a new child. My sister have been given hung up with the incorrect crowd while she replaced into 13, and went from immediately A's to being a highway-walker, dropped out of faculty, ruined her existence and broke my mum and dad hearts. sturdy success--you're a sturdy discern and do by no skill provide up on your new child or decrease back off. each and every so often a school gadget will railroad a sturdy new child because of the fact their family contributors could decrease back off formerly the undesirable new child's family contributors, who frequently cries "foul" early, long & loud!

If you're on the elegibility list, as soon as a position opens up or they decide to send some people on the list to police academy, they will (hopefully) contact you. Good luck!

It's 'background' check, not 'backgrown' and 'oFF' the list not 'OF' the list - and was that an 'eligibility' (not elegibility) list? I think you answered your own question! You may have passed everything (as you state) but bombed the application with errors.

Yep that means that when a position becomes available the first person on the list will be hired and everyone who applied after you will be after you on the list.

Depending on your position on the elegibility list, (first, second, fifteenth, etc.) you wait until they have an opening and they call you for an interview. Could be a few weeks, could be months.

it means you are on a list when they start hiring. the bad part of this is that the lists only last for so long and then you have to retest all over again

what that means is they already have their quota of whites for now, depending on the size and racial make up of the county they will take all minority's and all women even if you scored hired on the exams before they will hire you, so even though you see all the time how under staffed they are, and how they need deputy's you will sit on this list. discrimination at it finest.

Sounds like the ball is in their court! Sucks, but you'll just have to wait to hear from them. A lot of places, especially public services like police, etc, have lenghy waiting times for stuff like this because they are overloaded with work. I'd get a job while you wait to hear back from them, it may take awhile!

good luck!!
