I wonder if the fundies today who are so vocal and obsessed with homosexuality are the most tempted by it...and in an effort to turn eyes away from their own lives, point their fingers to avoid looking inside themselves?
Why do you think fundies are so anti-gay? Especially considering all of the other sins in the Bible that people seem to be committing every day...divorce, gluttony, bankruptcy/stealing, etc...why do they focus so heavily on gays?
Many progressive churches are taking a new look at homosexuality and the Bible and are changing their positions...
Why are fundies so afraid of this change...much like the Southern Baptists who were once afraid of freeing the slaves....they thought slavery ordained by God.
Will fundies see the light a hundred years from now?

People who are insecure in their own sexuality usually hide behind a beard, a sham marriage or point to gays and defame them very vocally ...sometimes they do all these thngs.

People are a result of the causes and conditions that make up who they are (i.e. how they were raised, religion, etc.) and ego and the group dynamic (which often "feeds" the ego, per Maslow's Hierarchy of needs) are often more powerful than stepping outside of it to embrace logic, altruism and compassion. Wanna see how "weird" such things are to the "herd mentality"? Watch people's reactions when you "rescue" a caterpillar from the sidewalk so it doesn't get tread on, or shoo off a mosquito w/o killing it!

While you are pretending to be a liberal, forcing your social experiments on the rest of us, why don't you explain to the world why our forefathers and their forefathers recognized sodomy as a sick and disgusting behavior, and why you don't? Do you expect the world to believe that your "New Found" perversion is more vital to our survival as a human race than our forefathers?
Is it the fact that 78% of those who profess to be unnatural in the sight of the rest of us contract a life long sexually transmitted disease, or that less than 6% of all male sodomites live to be 65? Does that justify your desire to direct your natural lusts toward unnatural behavior?
No, we are not "fundies", we are normal human beings that recognize that the natural purpose of our bodies is not found in some guys rectum. We respect ourselves far more than that.

It's not that we focus more on homosexuality, but it seems to be the most talked about.
If you know scripture then you know homosexuality will, like all other sins---send one to hell.

Many are trying to deny their gay feelings, I have seen that a lot. Will this change in fundamentalist churches any time soon? I doubt it.
