some people need religion to grow at all. If they didnt have religion, they would be completely lost and give up on any spiritual life whatsoever. For this purpose, religion is important. The important thing is that the people are seeking. Even if it is in a religion, at least they are seeking something of a spiritual nature, and hopefully will find their own path.

People equate religion with spiritual growth.

A lot of people don't realize spiritual growth can be done freelance. It's like a fish, it can't see that the water it swims in is not good for it. It has to flip out of the water, not easy to do.

Because religions has so many answers for who we are and where we belong and what the purpose of life is. It's a comfort to people and they can feel a sense of belonging to a group of people who share their quest for discovery of who they are and where they belong.

Why do u look to Microsoft for your own computer upgrades?

I know the examples are not matchable coz nothing can be equal to God..

but who can u refer to for growth and "upgrades" if not the CREATOR?
