I am really in shock with this one. A bird consumes more calories than this! You need at least 1000 calories a day and that is a low end figure. I think it would be a good idea for you to seek out some good nutritional advice from a professional. It seems there is a serious underlying problem if you only eat 590 calories a day. God bless and help you.

You didn't give us enough information to go by. If you weigh 75 lbs, then 590 calories might not be so bad. If you weigh 150, then we've got problems. You can't possibly come even close to getting the amount of nutrition you need on 590 calories, unless you're consuming 590 calories worth of raw, green vegetables. :)

Yes! 590 calories? Are you serious? You need at least 1200 because our bodies use calories to breath, sleep, as well as to keep us alive.
Please, see a doctor and eat more.

Are you eating 590 or working off 590??
If you are eating just 590, then go to the hospital because you are anorexic!
If you are buring that much, don't sweat it cuz you burn calories talking, walking, typing, breathing, reading, etc.

590 calories a day will land you in the hospital after a while. a newborn baby needs more calories than that daily
you should never consume less calories than the BMR requires

Yeah, eating less than 1200 calories a day puts your body into starvation so you won't burn very many calories b/c your body lowers your metabolism to nill b/c it thinks you are starving. And, if you are working out you probably need to eat a little more than 1200 calories a day to give your body a little energy to work out. Eat more/ burn more calories b/c your metabolism will raise back up and you will lose more weight.

Sounds a little anorexic to me. It is an unsafe level of calories. Your body is eating itself to keep the necessary calorie content. You need to see a health care provider to help you with your anorexia.
I had a bout of anorexia and lost 50 pound in a short time. I developed significant amount of health problems from this and spent a long time incouseling to get over it.

Yes. I had a diet that was 700 calories a day, and you could only go on it for two weeks at a time. If you don't have the time, maybe consider a higher calorie meal with vitamin supplements.

Yes, that's too low. I would only go as low as 800 calories and even that's pushing it. If you caloric intake is too low, your body will think is starving and will go into starvation mode and retain any fat you're trying to lose by calorie reduction. It's ironic, but you actually have to eat to lose.
