The reunion is in June and I already can feel I am getting tense over it..when I talk to my step mother who I generally get along with great..I can see there are going to be issues..she will tell me about the issues between so and so..cousin, uncle..whatever is doing this or that..its silly..HELP!!!!

My suggestion is that you interrupt the issue saga update as pleasantly as possible and let your step-mother, (or anyone else), know that you want to enjoy seeing everyone and you won't be able to if you have all the issues to think about. People talk to you in the way you allow them to. It's really up to you.

Tell her you don't need to know that. What does she expect you to do with that information? Make up a trivia game and ask ok who's doing this and that in the family and hand out prizes for the correct answer?

Look in the mirror and practice your "listening intently" face. Practice the good ol' smile and nod. Stay away from anyone who is fueding and latch on to someone normal. You'll get through it! Good Luck!

just stay out of the issues. don't listen to the gossip and try not to have any pre-concieved notions about anyone. just enjoy the day.
