She'll have black bags under her eyes, bloodshot eyes, constantly runny nose, involuntary twitching, nervousness, she might complain of chest pain or a sore throat. Some of these symptoms occur even if she doesn't use anymore, though.
The biggest thing to look for is the runny nose and messed up eyes. Don't say anything to her until you're absolutely positive she's still using. And when you do, gently express your concern, listen to what she has to say, and let it go. Now she knows that you care, but you're not going to be a nag about it.
There is no guarantee that you can make her stop. If she's got it in her head that there's no getting out of being an addict, then forced detox could be the only thing stopping her. And no one wants that. Just do what you can, and let it go. I'm sorry about your friend, but I don't know what else to say.

Bless you, be sure you comprise drug attempting out as a prerequisite for him to be sure his son. The signs and indications are not trouble-free to % out while you're actually not residing with the guy...& each and every from time to time whether you're. If the actuality has been pronounced in courtroom formerly or if the government have been ever in touch...this is going to likely be on checklist. There should not be any rationalization which you would be able to be sure whether or no longer he's applying returned...this is why the courtroom is there. solid success!

Snappiness, mood swings (possibly to violent extremes), excessive [fast] talking, twitchyness/shaking, weightloss and insomnia are a few things which I can think of. If you talk to her online/on the phone then keep a note of her sleeping pattern.
Sniffing/red eyes can be signs of a blocked nose/cold or allergies, and are not much of a giveaway. By some of the descriptions on here some people must think everyone with hay-fever is a cocaine addict.

Sniffling and rubbing her nose A LOT. As in constantly. Even if you don't see her often you can hear her doing it on the phone.
And it is very different from allergies. Coke sniffing is almost like a twitch.
From what you added if you aren't seeing her and aren't talking to her you aren't going to know. Call and talk to her parents, call and talk to her school's guidance counselor, call anyone you can who can keep an eye on her.
It is your business because you love her-but realize that sometimes there really is nothing you can do.

my ex husband was able to cover it up until after the divorce, but that is only because I was uneducated and had no idea other than movies what would be involved, aparatus or whatever.... I don't know why you are trying to keep track of her life when she is an hour away.........don't you have things to do? I couldn't care less what my ex is doing right now, I am busy taking care of my life and my kids. If he goes to jail or burns his brain with his habit, that's his problem now. I have enough to worry about right here.
