Dear Rajagopalan, I get such letters daily on my email & I simply delete them. Any letter issued by any Nigerian means Spam. Just read today's Times of India newspaper, A Nigerian Diplomat arrested for money scam. Just never believe these guys, they are all fraud.

I get upteen number of letters from various OIl company recruiters. This is really fake. did you not read a news column that two indian engineers were abducted by a group and still they were not released. Moreover the salary seems to be unrealistic for Nigerian standards. I had few Nigerian friends in my previous company who experienced repatriation of money problems. The next thing they will ask you is to remit atleast $2000 to them as process fees then they abscond. Send this letter to nearest Nigerian Embassy

Its probably fake. First, did you make contact with them, or did you put a resume online? If not, then its really fake.
Now, you can inquire about it, but if they ask you to send them money, then that should be a huge sign that should tell you to run.
Then, like others here are asking, why would you want to work in Nigeria? I can't imagine benefitting from it. Not to mention, you might get 21,500 a month, but is that in US dollars or their currency. If its theirs, it could equal $1.50 US. Or, even if its a lot, they could charge you an arm and a leg in taxes.

Be skeptical about anything coming from Nigeria, it’s a lawless country full of white slavers and corrupt Government officials.

Oh wait, that sounds allot like the United States!

All kidding aside, be skeptical about anything coming from Nigeria!

It's totally fake. If you don't believe me then just send in the money they want and see what happens.

Why would anyone want to work in niggeria? If Africa was such a great place, why would these shines want to stay here?

Why don't you work someplace more civilized. Like Baghdad? Or the Philadelphia Zoo.
