My opinion is that a MIND- BEFORE CREATION , is most logical and makes the most sense, because of the mathamatics and perfect precision the universe and humanity relies on for survival. DO you think it's willful ignorance or FEAR of being subject to a CREATOR that makes atheists reject the obvious, or maybe both? Do you think that is why some so are bitterly intolerant and prejudice towards Christians and others of faith?

I share your complete analysis. I came to the same conclusion as you when I first came onto Yahoo q/a and scanned the questions and posts around this topic. They can suugest it's VICE VERSA, to that I would SUGGEST- GO READ ALL THE POSTS YOURSELF, the most bitter hateful ones are towards Christians by some atheists, not vice versa. Many Christians tend to share their views in a more respectful fashion.
Go read!!

Well, the arguement from design (what you lay out) says nothing about which religion (designer) is right. It's a logical non-starter, because it doesn't lead to any conclusion, just something, at some point, started everything. The best one could do would be to argue for a Deist perspective, that of something starting it all and never again affecting the world. I'm not sure why so many people think that the argument from design is an argument for religion, it is in fact an arguement against any particular religion.

Well, I'm atheist but I don't think I'm ignorant. After all, if you read the bible, there is not a single word in praise of intelligence. Just blind faith and that's it.
Anyway I'm not scared of a creator. And I do not think there is one by the way. And the universe, meaning you as well, is not perfect. Get it through your christian head.
And besides I think that the christians (who are for the most part conservative and/or right wing) should hate Jesus, as he was kind of a communist ante litteram. I personally believe Jesus existed, I just don't think he rose from the dead. Just think that I was christian before meeting my current religion teacher. For she is a narrow minded jerk.

Some people deny the existence of God, rather than to deal with the penalty for sin. In their minds, if there's no God, they aren't responsible for their sins. In fact, if there's no God, there is no sin. People who believe in reincarnation use this same broken logic. The idea is: since I'm going to come back in another life, I don't have to deal with the penalty for sin. I can correct myself in my next life, so I therefore don't need to worry about sinning. Both trains of thought are unfortunately wrong. God DOES exist and the penalty for sin IS death, whether we accept Him or reject Him. When people claim to have been reincarnated and know revealing information about the past, one needs to remember that demons are eternal beings who are well versed in the past.

My love, logic is mental and NOT spiritual.
ONLY the MIND of CHRIST, which means an ANOINTED MIND, can grasp God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Logic and mental gyrations do NOT a godly mind make. That's why the devil, even with his mind and already having been in heaven could become jealous and stupid.
Atheists are born from a desire to be without God or a desire to rebel and a refusal to submit to all that is obvious. It is obvious to us who believe that the un=believers are the ones who are obsurd. I am not sure what your mind before creation means, but God.., the GODHEAD..., is described in a way that we can accept. We, people of the Earth, seem to understand life and God and Creation and Eternity in trilogy...: like Father, Son , Holy Spirit
Past, present, future; Birth, life, death;
Earth life as animal, vegetable, mineral..., and the like. Trilogy is the way we 'get it' since we are in the third dimension.
It sorta like we get the whole picture by seeing and grasping in trilogy.
Fear is from the enemy of God and is applied to every soul that rejects God and His Word, thus bringing fear.
You can try and switch around what God has told us, but it is best to stay with what God already said..., ASK for the infilling of His Holy Spirit so that you then will have the "anointed mind" or the "mind of Christ" and then He can tell you what you want to know.
Your faith and deductions are amazing, but just ASK for the 'MIND OF CHRIST', which means an anointed mind... anointed with the Spirit of Truth and He WANTS you to have that. "FEAR" would be the only hindrance to receiving and you can repent for that and ask God' Holy Spirit to by-pass that foul spirit that you WILL not entertain.
Atheists intentionally blind?
Probably just a product of their own arrogance and fear and previous generational blindness..., and that engrained with fear with mis-information. Pray for anyone you know who are in this mode of thought and do "identification repentance" for them.
God bless you. Our opinions really don't matter very much. Ask the Lord Jesus and He will tell you all things.

Lets reason this out. Most Athiests were Christian. So they KNOW how they thought and felt inside of that experience. . What you don't know is the path they took, or how their life changed because YOUR the one that has never been there. How Christians think is no mystery. It hasn't changed in a very long time.

It is because I used to sound somewhat like you, that the religion is being held accountable by me, now. I used to be someone that I didn't like, and now I'm free. I'm not an admirer of your God. When I began to think for myself, it was plain to see that this god projection wasn't something we humans should be emulating. Yet, we do. If we don't willfully change it.

If I am willful, than I am glad of it.

The sad fact remains that this is not God's world. God's Kingdom is still not of this world, as Jesus Christ made clear in John 18:36. It is even more tragic that another being is ruler of this world, right here and right now—Satan the devil.

The apostle Paul described the spiritual blindness that envelops the world and pointed out the source of that blindness. "But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them" (2 Corinthians 4:3, 4). Who is the god of this age? He is none other than Satan, the great fallen superangel (Ezekiel 28:14-17). He is truly this world's ruler. Jesus Christ recognized that, saying that in the judgment "the ruler of this world will be cast out" (John 12:31).

Although we cannot see Satan, his influence on the world is pervasive. Paul understood this, telling the members in Ephesus, "And you He [God] made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience" (Ephesians 2:1, 2). The result of the devil's influence is that, before conversion, "we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others" (verse 3).

Satan spiritually influences humanity to reject God and God's law. Under Satan's influence, "the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can [it] be" (Romans 8:7). Separated from God, man chooses to go his own way, with devastating and tragic results. "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death" (Proverbs 14:12; 16:25).

Satan's influence is so great that he "deceives the whole world" (Revelation 12:9). The entire world "lies under the sway of the wicked one" (1 John 5:19). Under Satan's influence, humanity has rejected God's revelation and guidance and built societies and civilizations on a wrong foundation.

When Jesus Christ returns, "the kingdoms of this world [will] become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" (Revelation 11:15). Satan's world, built on a foundation of lies and deception, will come crashing down, replaced by the Kingdom of truth and light.

I don't believe Atheists are intentionally blind but rather that they are blinded by the evil one; since we are taught in Scripture that Satan blinds the minds of those who believe not so the glory of Christ cannot be seen by them.

I don't know the why for Atheists. I can't even begin to wrap my mind around it. My guess is they don't understand me either. . .that is why tolerance is a must. Each person in this world has so much to offer to each other if we could only get past our differences.

I think you are laughable, at best.

Your opion is nothing more than your opinion - and it is wrong as well. The universe has no such "perfect precision" that was created with us in mind. The universe, or the area that we evolved in, happened to have the right settings for life to come about...it wasnt that life was created, and the universe was created to house us! Furthermore, your Argument from Design does not do you justice - because it doesnt state WHICH GOd is responsible. So, if youre right and we were Created, Ill choose to beleive in Zeus instead, because he was way cooler....

If you ask me, it is your FEAR of the unknown and of what you fail to understand that keeps you clinging to a myth. Not me being afraid of that which doesnt exist!! How absurd is that? Are you afriad of Santa Claus???
