Can we cast him out from our lives yet?

Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD -Deuteronomy 18:10

Or is it okay because Jesus was nailed to a tree, and not burned?

So, it's cool if I sacrifice my son, as long as I do it to remove sin? After all, it's Godly, and this scripture doesn't mean what it says.

"Have you forgotten about Jesus? Don't you think its about time you did?"

If you were to read the account of Abraham and the request that God made that he was to sacrifice his only son, the son that God had promised him well into his old age, you will also note that God would not let him go through with the sacrifice and supplied the ram for a substitute. The only human sacrifice ever intended by God of man was that of His own Son. God had established that only the shedding of blood could atone for sin. All the animal sacrifices that were required of the Jews before Jesus was a temporary substitute and reminder of what the Messiah was to fulfill. That is why when Jesus perrished on the cross, He said,"It is finished."

In the pasage you mention in Deuteronomy, God was refering to the practice of the pagans that would sacrifice their first born children to gods of stone that were dead and had no ear for the pleas of those people. It was part of an idolatry that the Jews had gotten involved in by their realtions with these peoples. God was angry over that because they were serving false gods instead of the true God and it was such a waste of life, serving no purpose at all.

Satan is a deceiver and, just like with the Jews, will have you believing anything he can to keep you from knowing the Truth and the Way of God. 2 Timothy 4 says that he serves ears that want to hear things that are convenient and permissive to desires, good or bad, to keep our minds and hearts from reaching out to the Truth. He will twist the truth, just as you have attempted to here, to give justification to the lies you are hanging on to. Everybody has to serve someone and if you think you are serving yourself, you are only serving the source of the lies you are adhereing to.

I'm sure that God regrets making a mistake with his son by letting him die as the majority of people on this planet choose not to be Christian and could care less about Jesus Christ. If God had used his Almighty Power to give his son immortality, Jesus would have been able to climb down off the cross and give the Romans the finger. What other religion could compete with that? Today everyone would be Christian. Then only the Christians could fight amongst themselves.

It's not okay to do something that the Lord detests just because Jesus died for you. It doesn't make it okay to do wrong, it just means that you haven't truely repented and therefore have not been forgiven your sins. It's a two way street, Jesus can only save us by coming into our live and changing who we are. Remember that He is not a maid who comes in whenever your soul is dirty, it's a continuous process that requires your participation as well.

Don't be ridiculous. It was necessary for Jesus to be offered as a sacrifice for our sins. And God didn't kill him--Jesus offered himself voluntarily and was killed by the Romans.
God has never endorsed human sacrifice--which is why he had people sacrifice animals and always forbade them to sacrifice their children or other humans.

God made himself the Son of Man so that the sons of men would be made sons of God.

A difficult concept to understand but the only truth there is.

Seems like you already did...I do not plan to cast God out of my life. To each his own.

Jesus isn't God.
YHVH is God, and he said that wasn't okay to nail Jesus up.

Alot of Christians are loud and pushy and rude and insist the opposite of my statements above. They do their best to bump people out of jobs for having a difference of opinion on this and jeopordize people's livlihood. They used to burn people at the stake and hang them and cut off their heads for it. But nowadays they just pound your door and squeeze you out of your job for it.

But in spite of it all, God has always backed me up and found me an alternative.

I would rather live my life as if there were a God, than to believe that there was nothing out there but Man to depend on.
