Do inmates in prison wear those orange jumpsuits to bed at night, or do they have a separate outfit for sleeping in?

Inmates are allowed to wear their own undergarments under the prison uniform. When bedtime comes around, they usually sleep in a plain white t-shirt and boxers. If it's cold, they will sometimes keep the jumpsuits on.

Inmates, be they in county jail or state prison, are given a number of "outfits" they are to wear. Alottments are different for each state and county. Typically, inmates are given under garments, pants, shirts, pajamas, robe, towels, washcloths, and bedding. Some are even issued thermal underwear, ballcaps, sweat suits and sneakers. Inmates can even buy more clothing from their commisary if they have enough money on their account.
In addition, inmates in state prisons can also buy food items like Twinkies and Pepsi and electronics like color televsions and fans.

No, the uniform assigned to the criminal is what they wear daily, night and day...lol. The citizen can afford to pay more taxes for criminals to sleep in pj. The cost will come out of your pocket, taxes are to high paying for others mistakes. Imagine more laundry and clothes costs taken out of your paycheck. However, only in the movies you see a rich druglord in pj in prison. Thats not reality, look at Martha Stewart, Barrett and the rich CEO bust for extortion sleep in prison uniforms.

comfortable pajama's. i love the loungewear from PINK. i wear that a lot when im sleeping :). if i wore the clothes i had on all day to bed i would feel sweaty and gross. & plus i wear uniforms to school, and so how weird is it to wear your uniform to bed ?

They have a separate set of clothes. Usually shorts and a tee-shirt.

they usually go to bed in their underwear and t shirts. in the winter months its track pants and t shirts.
