What u can do is really neat, you can protect all the cells except the ones you want to be answered.

Clck on the cells u want to have answers in whilst holding Ctrl. Still holding control, click right mouse button. Select "format cells" and click on the "protection" tab. Uncheck the box that says "protected". Then select the whole workbook and then go to "tools" and "protection" and then "protect sheet" and type a password. It will ask for a repeat. After that only the answer cells can be typed in.

Good luck - there are certain programs but they only allow up to 5 conversions and they take too long and authentic versions of Adobe often don't accept them.

Yes - I removed windows entirely and installed "Linux" it's free I use a version called puppy Linux. However you must have adobe with puppy Linux.
If you like - I can send you a small disk copy of puppy Linux it's wonderful and free (I haven't had any difficulties - since I trashed my windows, so I swear by Linux).
Any Microsoft operation opens your computer to Bill Gates's whims - not so with Linux - it actually blocks any one that is trying to enter your computer functions. It's 100 % secure.

We even call up Linux to ask questions about Linux operations.

Check www.simtel.com

Another option is to obtain OpenOffice from Sun Microsystems. Their equivalents for Word, Exel and Powerpoint allow you to generate .pdf directly from the Microsoft equivalent programs. The license fee for OpenOffice is under $100. U.S.

In other words, develop your spreadsheet, save it, open with OpenOffice equivalent (OpenOffice Calc) and generate .pdf output.

We've used this at our office for a few years. We're too cheap to pay Adobe huge fees. http://pdf995.com/
