I sure hope to god that the end of days occurs during my lifetime so that I don't have to die and possibly find out that my belief was the wrong god and I have to go to everlasting hell, or even worse, I just rot in the ground and never find out how wrong I was. What can I do to force the hand of god and make the end of days come sooner. Oh, I know. Support Cheney, since that is also his goal.

If you have a Bible...let that answer your question for you... right now...remember what Jesus prophesied at Matthew 24:3-14...signs of his presence and the last days...also look up 1 Timothy 3:1-5...which also shows signs...and the thing is the world is going to end very soon because of the intensity of the signs we see going on all at the same time...but that is not something to dread or fear...but something we should look forward to because at Psalm 37:10,11 remember what it said:" And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." ....And also...Psalm 104:5 says..."the earth will not be made to totter"...so the earth in itself will not be destroyed, but when the Bible talks about the world it is referring to mankind that does not obey ALL of God's commandments and those with a wicked heart(which we cannot judge anybody for what they do because we cannot read hearts only God can). A good site to visit is: www.watchtower.ORG...check it out...and look up scriptures in your Bible...do research...compare different scriptures with different scriptures...examine the Bible...and not only will you find the answers to your questions, but they will be satisfying.

Yes, here are just three verses where three different people speak of the end times. Read these and see how the earth today is like this. The world is in the last days, and we should be daily reaping the harvest
.
In Jesus Name

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.*

3First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”**

3As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.***

Every generation persuades itself that the world will end in its lifetime.

This is a function of the way we perceive the world, and the fact that we know we are going to die.

Since all we know of the world is in our minds, and we are aware of our own inevitable death, we see "the world" (inside our heads) as ending as we die.

The apocalyptic visions are not unique to Christianity but predate "Revelations" by long, long years.

2 tinothy 3:1-5 : But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away

Yes.

In 2 Timothy 3:1-5, you see all the evidence that we are living in critical times hard to deal with.
Also, when Jesus gave his sermon on the mount, he told his disciples that nation would rise against nation, there would be wars and reports of wars, food shortages, earthquakes one after the other, etc.

All these things we see by just tuning into CNN.
