I've heard of people doing this and it working. I've also heard that several people became very ill over time because the poison was absorbing through the skin into the blood stream

Well, I have heard of people using it and they say it helps.. But , it is a petroleum product and is not good for the human body to be absorbing. Castor oil has the ability to stop joint pain also as does many more natural products. Check with your health food store for other remedies.

I think either your uncle has a great sense of humor, is made of metal OR a little off his rocker...but then again who am I to judge. There was a guy in a movie once who used Windex to cure any skin problems...one can only imagine what anything is good for since we don't even think of testing them.

I've heard of some people doing this and that it works, however, in my knowledge, WD-40 is a petroleum distillate which are long-term toxins that are carcinogenic, (cancer causing) , in nature. Why would you consider putting this on your skin to have it absorbed into your body?

I think he thinks it helps with his pain. If it helps him....then good for him. WD40 has to be less expensive then many prescription drugs.

I have heard several people testify that this helps their joints, I don't think there is any scientific proof. If they think it helps them that is good.
