Ok here is the deal. I have to go to school this summer to finnish up my minor for college. But I just found out that I dont qualify for loans. I have a 1 year old son as well. Should I get a job? If you think I should then what will I do with my son while I am at work. Day care for the summer costs $1,500 that on top of my tuition would make it $2,500. I dont know if I can make that much money. I have to go to school because I graduate in December. Help!!

You may not qualify for a US Dept of Ed loan, but you could probably get a personal loan. Go talk to your local bank or credit union. And if not that, then use a credit card. Just put it first on your list of things to pay off after you get a job with your degree next January.

It greatly depends on the family support that you have. Raising a child really does take a village. If you can't afford the day care is there someone, a relative who help you take care of your baby? Getting your education is key to the success and well being of you and your child. We have to make many sacrifices to get what we want. Don't spread yourself too thin. Your priority should be your baby, spend as much quality time as you can.

Your baby should come before school. I'm sorry if you did things backwards, but your child shouldn't have to pay for it. What would you do with your baby while you were at school? Where is his dad? Maybe he could watch your son, while you are at school.
