The church I go to is Non-denominational, it just means we don't fall under the category of Baptist, Penecostals, Catholics, etc. We just are believers of the same God, the only God and His Son Jesus Christ!

A denominational church has a wider organization with centralized leadership and control. The Assemblies of God, for example, has a national office.
A non-denominational church is not formally affiliated with a larger organization. It is independant of outside influence.
There are advantages and disadvantages to being a non-denominational church.
One reason churches choose to be non-denominational is to avloid the unproductive in-fighting between neighboring churches over unimportant differences. It's sad, but sometimes a baptist church can be bitter enemies with the methodist church accross the street, although such extreme cases are rare.
A disadvantage of non-denomationalism is that the church has less financial leverage and strength in numbers to do good in their community. When a natural disaster hits, for example, a denominational church will get help from the denomination right away, whereas the non-denominational church has to work harder to find help.

There are denominations within the Christian bubble. They are sort of like a governing authority. Their particular doctrine is passed down through the regions, and local churches. They financially support the new churches, they manage the missionaries and just take care of the general management stuff. A non-denom church is simply one that isn't under this governmental umbrella. A solo church, their own entity. They are not accountable to anyone besides themselves. They're free to run things the way they want.

Non-denominational means that they are not affiliated with any recognised national or worldwide group of churches.
Usually the non-denominationals work from a local belief system and do not want a national church to dictate their beliefs and practices.

It means you choose not to proclaim yourself as Presbyterian, Baptist, Pentecostal or anything like that. It means you follow Christ though, and I go to a certain denominational Church but I don't say I am a certain denomination. I am just a Christian because I love Jesus and believe He is the Son of God and is equal to God, and is the only way to Heaven. And I don't believe in division among the Church.

It just means they attend a church assembly that has no creed that is specific to a particular denomination. I'm not at all sure how the bylaws are established or it they have any, but, it is a church system that welcomes Christians from any denomination to come and worship with them.

it just means they don't associate themselves with a (major) denomination. so they could have similar views to a denominational church, say Baptist, but have certain disagreements and choose not to be affiliated with them. it's also a very braod category.
really if your church can't be called a certain type of church, then it's non-denominational

I am non-denominational
I or the people of my church do not affiliate with organized religions. We are closest to pentecostal but we do not hold to traditions of men that has been infiltrated in the church world by the mother church.
I hold fast to all the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Believe the Bible for what is says at face value.
Often I see some of these atheist claiming to be atheist because of something they seen in organized religion. I see what they are saying but I do not agree.
While we do not hold to the doctrines of the churchs, we never take our eyes of of Jesus. The Bible is our guide book. It's what we live by. We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Ghost in our bodys. We believe God raised Jesus from the dead. We are baptized in his name.
We confess that Jesus Christ our Lord, is the Son of God.
Often in organized reigion even the simplest things have a guide line written in paper to follow. (Test, Rules, Requirments.) Nothing is ever written down, we do not have a membership book. To become a preacher or teacher or pastor God has to call you. We never take a test to see if we are up to standard. The Holy Ghost is our standard.
If a person wants to become a member, come in and have a seat. Come back again and you are considered a member.
Everything is done decently and in order as the HolyGhost will allow.
