Yep and that's why relationships fail. You can't change someone. Either like them the way they are or move on.

I dont think it is possible to change their ENTIRE personality or anything--they are always going to essentially the same person. But minor changes are possible. A person that truly loves you will consider your constructive criticism (if done in a positive, healthy way--instead of by nagging!) and work to make changes to make you happier.

i dont think there is any use in getting in a relationship with somone you have to change. defeats the whole purpose of being in the relationship at first. your supposed to exspet the other person for who they are NOT for who you would like them to be or who you WANT them to be. just except your other half for who they are.

This happens far too often. A good rule of thumb is that people are the best they will ever be when you're dating. They're on their best behavior and trying their best to impress you and get you to like them.

Many people do believe that they can change their partners, especially when you are young but that soon changes in to a mission impossible! You'll learn that quickly!

Yes, they really think they can, and are then disappointed when they realize they can't...So....if you can't accept him the way he is before the relationship develops, get out while you won't be as hurt...

of course my boyfriend was a total *** hole when i first met him and i thought he was gorgeous so i jut asked him out and we talked it over i just told him i didn't like the wat he acted and i asked him to change and over time he became the most perfect b.f and we have been going out for 5 months now......
