After major holidays and in-between seasons. Also, depends on the locale. For example, if it's a really hot place, like Arizona, then summer is the cheapest.

It is always cheapest to travel during non tourist time.. People take vacations in the summer EXPENSIVE
spring break EXPENSIVE
Christmas EXPENSIVE
Best to travel in the fall, winter(except Xmas and New Years) and spring but not spring break.
When hotels, gas companies rtc. know that people will be traveling they RAISE their prices Ain't that nice of them?

Depends on the location. Many vacation places have a peak season for travel, supply and demand would dictate the higher price during peak travel season.

It would depend on where you are going. It is almost always cheaper in off season. So if you are going to Florida in the winter you will pay less then if you went during the summer.
The farther you book in advance the cheaper it tends to be as well.
