Adam and Eve had 2 sons... so then where did the rest of us come from unless there was some incest going on? Shouldn't we all be mongloids according to this?

And... if we all come from Adam and Eve then we are all related so what's with all the religion based wars where the good "christians" kill off their family members just because they disagree? Don't sound very Christian does it?

Actually, the bible also mentions a third son, Seth.

Believers will tell you that they were genetically pure, and therefore their offspring would not be at any risk.

They fail to take into account that they would have been genetically identical (Eve was made from Adam's rib, remember?). The risk of birth defects would have been extremely high.

The OT is filled with episodes of senseless violence. Maybe that's where they got their sense of compassion for their fellow man.

You've stumbled upon one of the greatest annoyances for Christians. This is one of those things people are talking about when they say the Bible is Flawed and contradicts itself.

The only actual info from the Bible is that Cain married a woman from "The Land of Nod" and so did Seth. Cain is supposed to have created a huge city in Nod which is where you get the Enoch Story from.

There are a number of theories - each one a bit more reaching. Some think God created humans but there were already people on earth - or He Created other people for them to breed with after he cast the out of Eden. My personal favorite theory (not that I believe it) is that the creation myth is a metaphor for Alien seeding of the planet - Cain, Able and Seth were "Aliens" who were brought to earth on Star Ships to cerate a "Super Race" by interbreeding with the indigenous Gorillas.

As to the second part of your inquiry - you have to move a little further in the Bible to the Story of Babel. Apparently, we didn't fight, we all got along and we did so incredibly well. We all got together and decided to build a building that would reach heaven. According to the Bible - this made God nervous and so he confused the languages and scattered us - creating emnity between the races so wed never be able to agree on anything and challenge Him again.

Also, with Abraham, God supposedly puts his hand on one specific group The Isrealites, and makes them His Chosen People. He gives them certian permissions to kill others In His Name. "Go Ye Forth into Canaan and Slay all Ye Find there". Anyone who doesn't worship the One True God. Other times he tells them to make nice - but don't actually get to know them.

I don't agree or disagree with any of the stuff above. No opinion - I just read and report. Oh, except the Alien thing. That's too good to be false. :)

Original Sin was Adam & Eve's CHOICE to eat the fruit of knowledge of good and evil and this made them give up eating from the tree of eternal life. (Everything has a trade -off ... knowledge or eternal life ... eternal life or knowledge)

The first time the word "Sin" in used in the Bible is when Cain murdered his brother Able. IDK about "Incest" with Cain & Able but the Bible does not promote incest. The Bible doesn't give a momement by moment account either, so we need some faith here that incest didn't hurt us. (Faith also has to be given to Noah too ... ). Christains view OT follies as watching a baby learn to walk. There has to be many falls before the baby can stand on it's own feet independently. Knowledge is the plain knowledge ... Christians are called to take knowledge and convert this to Wisdom ... meaning we can learn from other's follies instead of having to repeat them ourselves.

Chist was sent by God to gather God's lamb's (past, present, and future) who tenatiously Love God's word. Christain is accepting that we're all sinners and that only through Jesus Christ can we find our way back to God so we can have it all ... (which is) Knowledge converted into Wisdom and Eternal life in the Glory of God's Goodness and Mercy.

What a concept........
Lets seem hmmmm...
Well didnt adam live 800 years or something.
Nowdays were lucky if we make it to 80.
Thats abnormal isnt it?
Theres not any pictures of the first parents
to really make any examinations that we are
not all mongoloids in comparison....

Cain killed his brother out of pure jealousy.
A lot of people in the bible are not christians
even though they are related.

Gen. 5:4, Adam had sons(more than Cain,Abel, and Seth apparently) and daughters.
I should add, sex with your sibling became a sin later under the law of Moses.

There was no incest back then, it was fine to do that. When there was too many people getting into the world then is when the problems started and mankind had to make laws.
We are all realated, that is sad that there are so many wars and killing each other. Even though we are all different, we are from one origin.
No it don't sound Christian to me either. They should learn to accept each others differences and learn from them.

Adam and Eve had children for almost 1000 years..their children had children for almost 1000 years...right there there are tens of thousands of people.
They married each other and moved away. Then cousins married cousins. Then more distance and so it goes.

We are all related. You never know, that may be why we can only use 10% of our brain power.
