Aww Kindergarten.. Soooo Cute..
This is what I know you need..
A child must have reached the age of five years by September 1 of the year in which he would be entering kindergarten.
Up to date on all shots and TB test.
.
No child can be refused into kindergarten as long as they meet the age requirement and even if they do they can not attend the class until all shoot records are up to date..

You just need to make sure your child meets the age requirements according to the state you live in (5 anywhere between August thru December depeding on state), your child needs to have basic skills, Up to date on all shots and TB test,
all be able go to the bathroom by themselves.
There are quite a few schools that do what they call a Boot Camp which is 2 weeks of PreKindy so they can get use to the classroom and doing the routine. This is great for those that have never been in Preschool or any formal setting. Check with you local district to see if they offer it. I hear it is helpful for all children. Good luck with everything.

Call your local elementary school. In most states they can't keep a child out of school unless they don't meet the age requirements. You can still apply for an exception to vaccinations in most states, although the school will probably discourage it. Many school districts do have a "kindergarten screening" if you do this now you will know what things you can work on over the summer.

In addition to the obvious requirements such as age and innoculations, many kindergartens give a test that assesses the child's readiness for the skills taught in kindergarten. A parent might then be advised to wait another year, if the child tests below the expected level of readiness. In other schools, a different test is given at the completion of kindergarten that assesses a child's reading readiness. A parent might then be advised to retain the child for another year in kindergarten or allow the child to be placed in a remedial Early Learning Skills class for one year.

the only requirements for kindergarten is that the child meet age criteria and immunizations are up to date with proof of a recent (within 1 year) physical. There is no restriction for any child to attend public kindergarten due to any physical, emotional or social handicap. If you think your child has been denied attendance due to any of these, check the educational law websites in your state. Every child has the right to an appropriate education.

In North Carolina the physical required for kindergarden registration includes a GENITAL EXAM. For little girls they check for an intact hymen. I don't know what they look for in little boys. I just recently registered my daughter and was taken aback when she went to the dr for her physical.

Depends which country you live in. Some kindergarden are state owned and others private (expensive).
Private owned - if you have the money you're in.
State owned - need to live locally....
Need to know which country you're in to be able to advise
