I totally agree! I walk to work everyday, my boyfriend and I share a car. We recycle, use lights only at night, keep our heat at a steady temp, and cuddle up in blankets. If people would ride with one other person, we'd cut the car traffic by at least half.....

I believe that we need to be responsible and good stewards, it is more about attitue han anything else.
The thing is, all of us doing all of these things is not going to do much of anything in the way of "sving the earth" It is good to be responsible, clean up after yourself, be considerate of others, waste not want not- but if it becomes an obsession - that is not a good thing. The environment and the earth have become peoples personal god- to the point that there again is no balance people are either on one extreme- not caring at all and spewing hate at the 'greenies' or on the opposite extreme obsessing to the point of being hateful or at least judgemental to everyone that does not see things exactly the way they do. There are still those inbetween but they are becoming fewer.
The earth is degenerating and will continue to do so no matter what we do- but that does not mean that we should just let it go and trash it anyway.
Be considerate of your neighbors, pick up your trash, spend your money wisely- not on water bills or water that just flowed down the drain in vain. - on the other side of the issue, know that htere are people that would like to eat organic and use all natural bath products but they cannot afford it. Some people are not able to conserve the way you think they should be able to - there are other mattersin their lives that are a bit more important and need more pressing.

I totally agree. I don't understand why people can't see the effects. The fact that the hottest 6 years ever in the planet's history have occurred in the last 10 years should tell them something. It's all about education. The public need to understand that it's their responsibililty to do something about this, and knowing what they can do to contribute. The majority think that being green is very expensive, installing solar panels, wind turbines, buying a hybrid etc etc. The truth is, we can make a huge difference with the little things - switching lights off, walking to work, unplugging appliances, changing lights to low energy ones, reusing plastic bags or using a canvas one for shopping, recycling bottles, paper. There is soooo much that can be done for little or no cost. If everyone in America changed just one lightbulb to a compact flourescent one, it would be equivalent to taking 1 MILLION cars off the road every year! Little thing multiplied by lots of people = big impact. This will put adverse impact into perspective as well. If that's what benefit can be achieved with little effort, what harm is everyone doing at the moment? If you do something good, tell your friends to do the same and we'll be on our way.

Just what is happening to our earth. The air is getting cleaner. The water is getting cleaner. There are fewer cold related deaths. By the way cold related deaths far outweigh heat related deaths. Longer growing periods means less starvation and less hunger. More technology. Better health care. More wealth. Longer life spans. Are we living on the same earth. I see good but you obviously have bought into the scare tactics. You should turn off your lights when you don't need them because it would be a waste. It will not hurt our planet, it will just hurt your pocketbook. Turn off your taps for the same reason. Our planet has trillions of gallons of water. We are the blue planet. Again, I wouldn't waste any, but we are not running out of water but you would never think that if you listen to the alarmists out there.

I definitely agree! There are so many simple things that can be done to help. Recycling bins can be purchased to fit any space and recyclables can be taken on any schedule. There are many books giving loads of tips on how to help the planet, like 50 Simple Things Kids Can do to Save the Earth. Best thing to do-- go to your local library and use environmental key-words to find books about what you can do to be more eco-friendly. Then use the tips as much as you can!

I fully agree. This is OUR world. If we don't start taking care of it, it will be gone.
Don't leave lights on. Walk to the nearby supermarket. Stop smoking. Recycle.
If we all did just one thing, the world would be a much better thing.

Yes i can see, and I agree. Great resolution, and as far as turning off the tap, if I didn't all my beer would leak out.

Yeah good points. Also Use paper products rather than plastic products, becuse plastic is hard on the enviroment when its crafted. And It can biodegrade. Paper can be reused alot and isnt as harsh on the enviroment plus it can bio degrade

I know all about this, but it will take more than one person to save the world. Everyone needs to play a part.
