I went to go see my guy friend this weekend. We live 3 hours away from each other. There are different things that he said that made me wonder if he is starting to want more. I told him about a job that was open and he said well they have jobs like that here too. Then he was talking about guy nights and how he felt like if he was serious with someone he could not have that. Then he said well with the right girl I probably could. Was he hinting or am I totally misreading him?

he may be hinting, but he also may just be confiding in you because you are friends.
You basically need to figure out if he sees you as "one of the guys" or if he sees you as "an option" if he sees you as one of the guys, then he is just talking to you and wanting you to be closer so you can spend more time together.
I know from experience that with my good friends that are girls, there was something there between us before but then we became just good friends. After that, I have seen them as just one of the guys basically, but also since they are girls, I know that I can ask them and tell them about other things that my guy friends cant answer or that i know they do not care to know about.
You can talk about other guys around him, talk about a guy you are seeing and how its going, then based on how he acts you will know. if he gets jealous or starts talking about how much of a better boyfriend he would make to a girl than that guy or if he doesnt want to talk about that guy and pretend you are single, then he obviously is interested. But if he actually will talk to you about it, not get jealous, say that he is happy for you and seems sincere, etc, then he is just being a friend.

Girl, I am the QUEEN of reading too deeply into things! What I learned to do is ask someone what they meant instead of just wondering. Talk to him, and if you're interested in him, let him know.

You could take that either way. Usually though, if a guy wants to get with you, he will let you know. Just wait him out or you could always ask him.

He could be hinting, but you wont know until you ask him or he tells you. I think that the bigger issue here is that you have some feelings for him.

He is a man and who knows what they think. Give him a chance to propose marriage if he is serious. If he just wants to play house with you and hide the pickle, when he isn't drinking or carousing with his buddies, then it is time to find a more mature responsible man for your life.

Trust your gut - always! Sounds like your heart wants to hear something different than what your gut is telling you. If he wants you bad enough and wants to persue a relationship with you HE will relocate.
