I'm still b/feeding cos I find it hard to wean him off, but my right breast (until 2 mnths ago quite productive) now is smaller than it used to be even before pregnancy. It looks saggy and very small now and I don't know whether it'll get back to normal when I wean the baby off. Is this normal? Did this happen to anyone of you? Please help

the first few mnths he did prefer the left to the right one but I've always been very careful to keep them even. Can anyone pls tell me if there is a chance the size of the breast will get back to normal, i.e. the size (not the shape, of course) they were before pregnancy?

No. It is time for breast-feeding to stop if he is a year old already. Your boobs won't be boobs any more they will look like to old rags hanging from your chest. You will be able to hang them in your shoulder when you wash clothes.

It will not go BACK. I AM TELLING STOP BEFORE IT TURNS TO A MESS. WHO THEN IS GOING TO WANT TO TOUCH YOUR BREAST. A CHILD IS SUPPOSED TO BE BREASTFED UNTIL THEY ARE AT LEAST 7 OR 8 MONTHS. *******STOP!!!!!!

i SAW A LADY DO IT FOR 3 YEARS. SHE NEED SURGERY TO GET THEM BACK AND IT STILL LOOK BAD! IF you don't believe me ,keep doing it!

It sounds like he nurses more often on the other side. You can try to encourage him to nurse on the smaller side more often to increase its milk supply. Also, have the doctor check it out when you get a chance, just in case its something weird. As for the deflated look and feeling, that is normal after weaning. The skin takes a little while to shrink back down. They may look a little deflated forever, but part of that is your perception, you got used to them being full of milk. I nursed my two boys until they were 15 months each, they had weaned themselves down to once every other day or so, so I just quit. I'm 34weeks pregnant with a third boy and will be nursing him too. With both age and nursing the girls are looking a little more south than they used to but it is sooo worth it. You can always get fat, I'm fat and they still look pretty full and roundish...lol. Good luck, hope that helps.

BRAVO for making it to the year mark what a wonderful thing ! I made it to 10 months w/ my 1st I am hoping to go at least a year with this one. Anyway is he using the other side more? Or has his sessions decreased? Your milk is produced on supply and demand the less he nurses the less milk you make. Good luck and keep nursing until you and your baby decide it's time to stop.
Wanted to add that I have been told that the beer is an old wives tale also drinking milk has nothing to do with it. Drink lots of water though that helps.

My guess is that maybe your child has been favoring the other side. Try nursing more often on the right side and see if you can even things out.

I was told that beer has an effect to make you produce more milk but you also have to eat healthy and drink a lot of milk yourself .also dont drink a lot of beer maybe one every other day it worked for me and it didnt harm my daughter
