Go to a craft store or dollar store & buy artificial flowers & ivy for planting. Since plastic is light weight, bury them deeply in the ground. No fuss, no muss, & no watering. Some plastic flowers look real & some look plastic, so it's your choice.

I would buy ground covers and perennials. You don't have to do anything to them and they look great year after year. That's all I have in my outside gardens, and I have 4 kids, 3 under 4 years old, that makes it hard on me to keep up out there! :)

You might want to create a zen garden with a lot of sand, a rock garden, etc. You can also spread pine straw in areas as filler.

Please don't do fake. There is nothing worse. Do periennels like hostas, azaleas, etc. Once established they will come back year after year
